The film was HBO writer, Bryan Goluboff’s directing debut.  The story is based on his own true life experience of implementing an underground newspaper during his high school years. 

“Eddie ‘Gonzo’ Gilman (Ezra Miller) wants to write the truth in the school newspaper.  But when he is thrown off the staff by his editor and arch-nemesis, Gavin Riley (Jesse McCartney), Gonzo vows revenge.  He starts an underground paper, “The Gonzo Files,” to give a voice to the misfits victimized by Gavin Riley and his cronies… “The Gonzo Files” becomes a runaway hit and turns the whole school upside down; but the more successful Gonzo becomes, the more he learns that with truth comes consequences.

The Tribeca Film Festival just wrapped up on May 2nd.  If you missed your chance to see Jesse on the big screen, keep your eyes peeled for the film’s DVD release.

“Mandela Day: A 46664 Celebration Concert” was held on July 18th at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. The show celebrated the 91st birthday of the famed South African leader Nelson Mandela.

The teen heartthrob tweeted “Saturday, celebrated Mandela’s 91st b’day at radio city, Sunday, final BubbleQ, Monday concert and coasters. Heading home happy.”

The album “Departure: Recharged” has 4 new tracks:  ’Body Language,” “Oxygen,” “Crash & Burn,” and “In My Veins.” It also has a remix of “How Do You Sleep?” with rapper/actor Ludacris.

In an interview with John Jay & Rich on November 24, 2008, Jordin Sparks mentioned that McCartney has approached her about working on her new album. McCartney is speculated to be one of the songwriters on her upcoming album.

Need a reason to go besides seeing a famous artist perform an awesome concert for children with rare diseases? I didn’t think so, but here’s one anyway:
